Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S24 launch event will take place on January 17, 2024 in San Jose, California. The launch event will be live streamed on the company's website and official YouTube channel. The upcoming Galaxy S24 series is said to consist of three smartphones – Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Series: Pre-booking Details
Samsung has also started taking pre-bookings for the upcoming Galaxy S24 series of smartphones. Customers can pre-book Samsung's upcoming smartphones from its official website. Customers have to pay Rs 1,999 to pre-book the Galaxy S24 series smartphones.
The company has revealed that customers who pre-book the smartphone will get a benefit of Rs 5,000. Along with this, buyers will also get the best upgrade value and a welcome voucher of Rs 5,000 for the Samsung Shop app.

Estimated specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series
Expected specs for the base Samsung Galaxy S24 include a 6.2-inch AMOLED 2x FHD display, a 50-megapixel main camera that supports 8K video recording, up to 30x spatial zoom, and 8GB RAM options along with 128GB or 256GB storage. The device is expected to have a 4000 mAh battery that can reach 50% charge in 30 minutes.
In comparison, the Galaxy S24+ model is expected to have a similar camera setup, but with a larger 6.7-inch AMOLED 2x QHD+ display. Additionally, it could include a larger 4,900mAh battery (65% charge in 30 minutes), 12GB of RAM, and a choice of 256GB or 512GB of storage.
Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Galaxy S24 Ultra model could feature a titanium body reminiscent of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This variant is expected to share RAM and storage configurations with the S24+. However, it may bring an advanced camera system, including a 200-megapixel main lens, 10x quad telephoto and 100x spatial zoom. The S24 Ultra may also feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED 2x QHD+ display and a 5,000mAh battery.
All three models are predicted to support 2,600 nits of brightness on their displays, have IP68 water resistance, and carry on the S24 Ultra's tradition of exclusive S Pen support. The upcoming S24 series is expected to retain the design elements of the previous S23 line, with the ultra model possibly featuring a fully flat screen. Samsung is also expected to integrate its Gauss generative AI system into the S24 series, using on-device GAI processes supported by the latest Snapdragon chipset, eliminating the need for cloud access.
